Information about essential browser storage, Google Analytics measurement and how to manage your choices on retaillab.io.

Last updated: July 11, 2026

What are cookies and browser storage?

Cookies and similar browser-storage methods allow a site to keep small pieces of information on your device. They may be used to support essential functions, remember your choice or, when you consent, measure site usage.

Essential storage

This is required for site security, essential functions and remembering your cookie choice. This category cannot be switched off and is not used for analytics or advertising.

Analytics: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager loads at page start to apply preference signals; Google Analytics storage is denied by default. If you consent to the Analytics category, Analytics measurement is enabled. These tools help us understand page views and site interactions in aggregate. Your email address and content entered in the contact form are not sent to Analytics. Google Signals and the collection of user-provided data are disabled.

Marketing and Google Ads

The Marketing category is reserved as a separate choice if Google Ads campaign measurement is enabled in the future. Google Ads conversion measurement, remarketing and ad personalisation are not currently active; enabling this option does not start those activities today.

Personalisation

Personalisation is a separate choice for tailoring the site's content experience to your preferences. No tool currently uses this category, and this choice does not enable Google Ads ad personalisation.

Changing your choice

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings button in the footer. When you withdraw Analytics consent, new Analytics measurement stops; records processed earlier are managed under the applicable retention and deletion rules. You can also delete or block local records through your browser settings.

Service provider and data transfers

When you give Analytics consent, limited technical usage information may be processed by Google in countries where it provides the service. Transfers and processing are assessed under applicable data-protection rules and service agreements; Google's own privacy terms may also apply in its role as a service provider.

Changes

This version took effect on 13 July 2026. Previous cookie choices are treated as expired because of the new disclosures, and the user is asked to make a new explicit choice. If the tools or purposes change, the policy and preference interface will be updated together and renewed consent will be requested where necessary.
